Training

PAC periodically undertake training and educational events for its members.  On some occasions other organizations such as certification bodies are also welcome to attend.  The current planned training activities are:

2018

22-23 Feb 2018, ISO/IEC 17011:2017 2-day workshop in Jaipur, India, hosted by NABCB (India).  For PAC peer evaluators (preference for those peer evaluators that are from non-APEC Member economies and that have not attended training yet) – Self funded with PAC travel subsidy for eligible PAC Members.

2 Mar 2018, ISO/IEC 17011:2017 1-day high-level briefing and strategy session, Singapore, hosted by PAC.  For CEOs and Senior Executives of accreditation bodies that are from APEC Member Economies only (Morning: 17011 briefing, main changes etc. Afternoon: Strategy session to review APEC work programme and identify opportunities for APLAC/PAC engagement) – APEC funded for eligible APEC Member Economies.

24-25 April 2018, ISO/IEC 17011:2017 2-day workshop, Kuala Lumpur, hosted by Standards Malaysia. For Quality/Technical/Accreditation Managers of accreditation bodies from APEC Member Economies only – APEC funded for eligible APEC Member Economies.

Late April - Early May 2018, ISO/IEC 17011:2017 3-day general training, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, hosted by GAC (GCC Member States).  For all PAC Members – Self funded with PAC travel subsidy for eligible PAC Members.

2-3 Jun 2018, 2-day workshops for APLAC and PAC peer evaluators (separate events run concurrently) in Kyoto, Japan, hosted by PAC.  For peer evaluators that are from APEC member economies only and that have not attended training yet – APEC funded for eligible APEC Member Economies.

11 Aug 2018, 1-day high-level briefing on ISO/IEC 17011:2017 for APEC delegates, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea hosted by APEC – For APEC delegates (standards, conformance and trade policy officials) – Self funding only

To be scheduled in 2018, Train-the-trainer workshop. For personnel of APLAC and PAC accreditation bodies that have responsibility for carrying out training activities, including needs assessment, learning programme development, training skills and evaluation of the effectiveness of training activities.

To be scheduled in 2018, 3-day general training on ISO/IEC 17024 and person certification schemes in Australia, hosted by JAS-ANZ.

To be scheduled in 2018, 3-day general training on ISO/IEC 17021-1 with an emphasis on ISO 45001, Occupational health and safety management systems in Singapore, hosted by SAC.

To be scheduled in 2018, 3-day general training on ISO/IEC 17021-1 with an emphasis on ISO 13485, Medical device management systems in China, hosted by CNAS.

To be scheduled in 2018, 3-day general training on ISO/IEC 17065 and process certification, in the Philippines hosted by PAB.

To be scheduled in 2018, 3-day general training on food safety schemes (GFSI schemes etc.) in America, hosted by ANSI.

Normally these events are administered via an online registration system.  Once the event registration website is live a link will appear in the above list so you can register your interest in attendance.  Normally you will require the agreement of a PAC Member in your economy to attend.  In some instances donor funding is available to assist developing countries to attend.

28-30 Aug 2017, ISO Regional Workshop on ISO/IEC 17011:2017 in Kuala Lumpur, hosted by Standards Malaysia.  This is an ISO event so please contact your ISO member body if you are interested in attending.

27-29 Sep 2017, ISO/IEC 17021-1 Training in Colombo, hosted by SLAB (Sri Lanka) – kindly supported by PTB
